Fried Smoked Sausage

Ingredients:

1 pound smoked sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions:

Slice the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil or butter.
Add the sausage slices in a single layer. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on one side until browned and slightly crispy. Flip and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until evenly browned.
Sprinkle with black pepper and garlic powder if using. Stir gently to coat.
Remove from heat and serve hot as a simple Southern-style main dish or alongside eggs, rice, or your favorite comfort sides.
